Reading is one of the largest and most important towns in Berkshire and has a lot to offer visitors. A short break in a Reading hotel is one of the best ways of experiencing the delights of this town. The hotel at Wokefield Park is located just outside Reading in over 200 acres of lush landscaped grounds and it comes with a host of top class facilities. Reading is situated around 40 miles outside London and with its excellent transport links is very easily reached, this makes Reading an excellent destination for businesses in search of a conference venue.

Reading has had a varied history and has been continuously populated for centuries, there are many standout landmarks including its Town Hall and Reading Museum, which are fine examples of Victorian gothic architecture. As a vibrant and modern town Reading also has an excellent variety of shopping options, as well as a buzzing nightlife with its many restaurants, bars and clubs - all best sampled from the comfort of a hotel in Reading.

Reading lies at the confluence of a number of waterways and is a great place to get out onto the water for a spot of boating. The Thames passes to the north of Reading, while the River Kennet flows right through the middle of the town. For the very intrepid the Thames Path can be negotiated from Reading out towards the Cotswolds in the west and London to the east, though some prefer to step out of their Reading hotel and laze around on and around the waterways.

While Reading is a major business centre itself, its proximity to London, as well as Oxford and Bristol so businesses looking to hire meeting rooms and conference venues in Reading have chosen wisely. Wokefield Park's facilities can accommodate up to 400 attendees in its syndicate and meeting rooms, while corporate entertainment is readily available in the form of an 18 hole golf course, an outdoor ropes course and an indoor pool.
