Herons' Reach hotel was built in the early 1990s adjacent to Stanley Park in Blackpool. Stanley Park itself was created by a visionary Mayor of Blackpool in the 1920s, who wanted to create and preserve green space in the town and ensure it was easily accessible to all residents.
The grounds were designed to include a large lake and a golf course - designed by Peter Alliss and Clive Clarke.
The leisure space and facilities around the Grade II listed Park have been extended and developed over recent years and Herons' Reach is very close to Marton Mere Bird Reserve and Blackpool Zoo. Leave your window open on a still night and you might hear the animals!
