A majestic setting ...

... A Victorian masterpiece

Welcome to Holborn Bars. A venue of high gothic drama and Art Deco elegance, a Grade I listed building crammed with period details and dotted with classic flourishes.

Designed in 1906 by Alfred Waterhouse – famed for creating London’s Natural History Museum – it’s a venue with a history as colourful as its red brick façade. It was from this site (then known as Furnival’s Inn) that Charles Dickens penned many of his greatest works. And even now we have an uncanny knack for captivating an audience.

Today, this is a spectacular setting for weddings and celebrations, where your imagination can run riot and life’s great moments find a fitting setting. Unlike many traditional venues, we’re completely open minded and flexible in our approach, offering limitless opportunities for fun, romance and excitement.

In the words of the great Cole Porter: here, ‘anything goes’.
