History
Mottram Hall was built in 1721 on land that had been in the Calveley family since the 14th Century. Built by Nathaniel Booth, it is an outstanding example of classic Georgian architecture. Specially commissioned 12th Century wood panelling and exquisite sympathetic décor bring a sense of drama to the estate.
The breathtaking splendour of Mottram Hall was brought into the De Vere family over 40 years ago. Painstaking repairs and restoration to preserve the building's magnificent features have ensured this wonderful estate remains a true original. The parkland and ornamental lake have been expertly groomed and a magnificent golf course sculpted in the grounds. You may well spot a famous footballer using the FA approved football training ground at Mottram Hall - many stars live close-by.
