Our food philosophy is simple: Legendary local ingredients, prepared to perfection. Samples a range of dishes in Duke's Grill, Hadrian's Brasserie or the Claret Jug.

Duke's Grill

Duke's Grill: Chefs with a passion for the extraordinary. Dishes prepared at your table and a trolley stacked high with local cheeses.

We highly recommend a bottle of Slaley Merlot to accompany your main course - produced in South Africa by the old masters of Slaley Hall.

The Claret Jug

The Claret Jug looks out over the golf course and specialises in classic, well prepared meals, with legendary breakfasts. Golfers and guests enjoy the light meals and teas during the day. In the evening it transforms into a deluxe bistro, with a fabulous menu and well chosen wine list as well as a large selection of local and national ales.

Try our Golfer's favourites, such as Northumbrian smoked honey glazed ham stottie, piccallili and home cut chips, or come for dinner to sit down to a sumptuous casserole of market vegetables with lentils and chickpeas and rosemary scones.

The Whisky Snug

There's no cosier place to finish your glass of wine or to sip an after dinner cognac. As bed-time approaches, sit back in your armchair and watch the light from the fire play on the wooden-paneled walls as you sample a fine, single malt whisky.

The Cocktail Bar

There's always a bit of a buzz about the Cocktail Bar. The lounge area is where guests meet for a glass of wine or a beer and to watch the cocktails being prepared. Enjoy the spectacular terrace views with a summer time Pimm’s. This is the life.
