De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms reveals result of £700k makeover
De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms, located in Covent Garden and part of De Vere’s portfolio of event destinations and country estate hotels, has unveiled the results of a £700,000 refurbishment of its meetings and events spaces, bringing them in line with the company’s innovative Smart Space meetings concept.
Most famous for its recently refurbished Grand Hall, which can accommodate up to 750 people, with spectacular chandeliers, staging and AV technology available, De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms offers outstanding grand spaces for all kinds of events. In total, 13 of the meeting rooms were refurbished in the latest work, updating the original décor to create light, fresh rooms, which are ideal for meetings, training, exams and corporate away days. The rooms can accommodate meetings of various sizes, with The Covent Garden and Dorset rooms having a capacity of 80 delegates each, while the smaller Board Rooms are ideal for more intimate meetings for up to 12 people.
The property features De Vere’s innovative meetings concept, Smart Space, which comprises nine service features designed to offer a highly responsive, personalised meetings and events service. The service includes everything from a live availability booking service to truly tech-savvy support, with up to 1GB super-fast Wi-Fi, interactive displays and an on-site team of friendly experts to help overcome any tech issues a client may face. This service is available in all event spaces throughout De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms, including the Grand Hall.
The meeting rooms are now equipped with the latest AV technology, while free, super-fast Wi-Fi can be used by guests at any time, within the building. De Vere’s signature coffee shop, Burr & Co, is available for delegates to enjoy a range of hot and cold beverages and nutritious snacks during breakouts.
De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms is a firmly established choice of wedding venue in central London.
