Hertfordshire is a green county, with most of its undeveloped land protected as Metropolitan Green Belt. It boasts picturesque landscapes, including woodland, river valleys, and farmland. The county has more than 3,000kms of public pathways, like the Hertfordshire Way, a 265km circular footpath. The county’s many canals, rivers, and lakes provide opportunities for sailing, kayaking and canoeing, as well as relaxing boat cruises.
