Despite these difficult times, there are reasons to be optimistic and we anticipate many good times to come. The ease of lockdown allows us to reunite with family, friends and colleagues and enjoy a well-deserved post-lockdown treat.

At De Vere we want to make your experience as safe and enjoyable as possible. We all have a part to play by taking personal responsibility, and at De Vere we’re taking a responsible approach too, having extended our already robust hygiene measures to go above and beyond Government recommendations. Here, Laurie Nicol, Chief Operating Officer at De Vere, looks at what to expect from a stay with us post-lockdown and the new measures put in place with De Vere’s Wellbeing at Heart programme, which ensures a healthy and safe stay for guests and a safe working environment for our team.

Wellbeing at heart

Wellbeing at Heart

We are thrilled to be opening our doors to guests from Friday 10th July. The wellbeing of our guests and our teams is our number one priority and it’s just one of the ways we make sure you have an unforgettable experience with us. Your health, safety and wellbeing is more important to us than ever, and to ensure everyone feels protected while staying with us we have launched our Wellbeing at Heart programme.

What to expect

We want our guests to sit back and relax and let us take care of the rest. To ensure that the toughest decision you’ll have to make is where to visit, we’ve made staying with us easy.

All bookings need to be made in advance on our website or by calling the reservations team and where possible, prior to guests arriving, our friendly teams will get in touch via email or phone to explain the hotel’s new measures and also to see if you have any special requirements. We’ve also created a cashless environment and reduced contact at reception, so credit card pre-authorisations, payment, any initial extras such drink packages, will be organised at time of booking, secured with flexible cancellation terms.

There will be sanitising stations at all entrances and reception desks as well as handy visual guides and directional signage to help maintain social distancing. All keys will have been prepared in advance using gloves and will have been sanitised and placed in a disposable pouch with a hygiene seal for good measure. When it’s time to depart, guests will be able to leave their key card in handy drop-off boxes and will be sent their bill and receipt via email.

Each bedroom will have a ‘clean seal’ on the door to ensure that the room has been sanitised and that nobody else has entered following a deep clean. We have placed wellbeing kits in every bedroom with hand sanitiser, antibacterial wipes, a set of socks, gloves, and face mask, all contained in a sealed bag.

We’re also offering NHS employees 10% off with us when they book direct.

You can opt to book an overnight stay and add on a chilled drinks package, a delicious two-course dinner, as well as a ‘grab and go’ breakfast.
