2024 Wedding Predictions

We’re bringing you our wedding predictions for 2023; this year we’ve got a hunch that there will be bold colours, retro throwbacks and a focus on sustainability and giving back, just to name a few. Be sure to bookmark this article as we’re pretty sure you’ll want to come back for inspiration.

Colour

As much as we have a strong admiration for neutrals here at Tortworth it’s hard not to admit that the Orangery embraces a new sense of identity when adorned in vibrant colour. Pantone have released their colour of the year as “Magenta”; a fun and deep shade that works well in contrast with pops of yellow and red. We can see our couples this year embracing colour clashes in their floristry or a rainbow of satins and textures amongst their bridal party ensembles.

Retro Wedding Cakes

With vibrant colours on the comeback, “Kitch” cakes or “Retro” cakes are also joining them. Layers upon layers of intricate decorative buttercream piping are topped with bright red sweet cherries and colourful sprinkles. These cakes are sure to make not only a delicious dessert but a memorable statement on your big day.

Rapportage Photography

Gone are the days of summoning granny away from her chit-chat with Aunt June to stand poised amongst generations smiling widely whilst the photographers lens clicks away. We’ve seen an increase in a more natural photography style over the past weeks and we are HUGE fans! Shot in an editorial style by skilled photographers whose talents are catching real moments and true memories that will last a lifetime between family and friends. What’s not to love?

Cocktail Power Hours

Did someone say Espresso Martini? Our current couples are all about looking for ways to get the party started here at Tortworth and we don’t blame them. Who doesn’t love a sophisticated tipple whilst admiring golden hour on the terrace or when resting your dancing feet in one of the cosy armchairs of the library bar? An exclusive pre-party drinks reception seems to be becoming a common topic of conversation during wedding planning and we’re fairly sure this idea will catch on! With personalised cocktail toppers and monogrammed stirrers easily accessible on the web there are so many ways to make the evening turnaround element of the day unique and to maintain the excitement of the day amongst your guests.

Sustainability & Charity Donations

Sustainability and consideration for local charities has always been at the heart of those of us here at De Vere Tortworth Court. Our newly released wedding packages had just this in mind when we decided to include an optional charity donation scheme, in which £1 per head is donated to the Gift of a Wedding Charity; An amazing team of people who helped Natasha & Oscar tie the knot back in February 2019 before Natasha sadly lost her battle to cancer in November the same year.

We’re hoping that the compassion of our Brides and Grooms will continue to be demonstrated as it has done in the past with conscientious favour choices such as wild flower seed bombs and charity donation pins. There are so many ways to continue spreading the love on your 2023 wedding day!
