Inspiring settings for memorable meals
With menus inspired by the finest local and seasonal ingredients, every meal is turned into an occasion at De Vere. Many of our bars and restaurants have been fully restored and refurbished to reflect the British heritage look and feel we love so much. Add some twinkling lights, attentive service and delicious, soul-pleasing cuisine and the scene is set for buzzing family lunches and elegant, intimate dinners.
When the weather’s playing ball, our elegant terraces, coutyards and gardens come into their own, with festoon lighting, outdoor pizza ovens and sweeping lawns all contributing to the magic.
Have a look at some our restaurants, many named after the year the mansion houses were either built or restored to the condition you see them in today.

The great British afternoon tea
The invention of afternoon tea is credited to Anna Russell, Duchess of Bedford, who, in 1840, had a craving for something to stave off hunger between lunch and dinner. As cravings go, we think this is one worth satisfying, and hence our team of exceptionally talented chefs have curated a feast of treats to charm and delight.
Afternoon tea at De Vere hotels can be taken in our restaurants, parlours and lounges - or, when the sun shines, outside on our lawns and terraces.
