De Vere Latimer Estate, located in the Chess Valley in Buckinghamshire, part of De Vere’s collection of country estate hotels, has today unveiled the results of a £1 million investment into its standalone event centres; The Waterhouse and The Mews. Both spaces sit in the historic estate and, as well as the estate’s grand mansion, Latimer House, are available for exclusive use with their own self-contained event spaces, restaurant and bedrooms.

The Mews, a stylish and contemporary event space, located in a former stable block, has seen its lobby transformed and its corridors are now adorned with locally sourced artwork. Its four conference and event spaces, the largest of which has a capacity of 120 theatre style, have been given a refresh with new carpets throughout. Whilst almost half of its 51 bedrooms have been completely refurbished.

The Waterhouse, a contemporary event centre with its own reception and car park has seen all of its public spaces redecorated and the largest event space, The Waterhouse Suite, which has a capacity of 220, has been refreshed, transforming the space and bringing it in line with the rest of the meeting and event spaces at De Vere Latimer Estate. All of The Waterhouse’s 51 bedrooms have also been redecorated with new furniture and artwork installed.

In total, 74 bedrooms across the two buildings have been refurbished to bring them in line with De Vere’s distinctly British aesthetic. Each bedroom blends a heritage colour palette of muted blue, taupe, and cream with De Vere’s signature accents throughout and complete with complimentary Penhaligon’s toiletries.

Ross Blezard, General Manager at De Vere Latimer Estate, commented: “We’re delighted with the results of the work which has taken place at De Vere Latimer Estate over the last few months. The refurbishment to both The Mews and The Waterhouse means that delegates and guests attending events at De Vere Latimer Estate will be treated to an exciting new product. We’re looking forward to our clients, old and new, exploring the new spaces which we’re confident will leave a lasting impression.”

The Mews and Waterhouse perfectly complement the historic Latimer House - nicknamed The Spy House for the important role it played in WWII - which has a further four event spaces and was meticulously transformed with a £7 million refurbishment six years ago. Across the three standalone buildings, De Vere Latimer Estate offers 27 flexible spaces for conferences, meetings, training and teambuilding, each with its own dedicated entrance and parking.

Set in the heart of Buckinghamshire, but only minutes from the Metropolitan Line which offers a direct link to central London, De Vere Latimer Estate offers 21st-century comfort and style within 30 acres of grounds in an area steeped in history, culture, and natural beauty.
