We have absolute wedding blues because of how perfect our day was and both of us already want to do it all over again. We have even talked about hiring the Orangery and coming back for our 10 year wedding anniversary and having a huge party all over again.

 

we cannot thank you enough, Alex, for your professionalism and promptness throughout this process. No question was too much for you to answer, and you have been an absolute rock steering us in the right direction of what information we needed to provide or needed to do. You are friendly and outgoing and that is definitely something you need when planning a wedding. As neither of us had done this before, you put us at complete ease throughout the planning process and were a constant support from the start. You helped alleviate any wedding planning nerves we had, and we are forever grateful.

 

We would also like to pass our sincere thanks on to Danka as well for the day. Danka was so incredibly organised and professional as well, and she made us feel so at ease. She was swift with guiding us towards what we needed to do, and everything went without a hiccup as far as we’re aware! Or if there were any hiccups, this is a testament to Danka’s work as it went completely unnoticed. She kept everything running smoothly and directed us towards where we needed to be, and kept us informed of the whole day, what to expect next, where we needed to go and what time etc. We are honestly so thankful to have had Danka there on the day and also can’t thank her enough.

 

We would also like to pass a huge thanks on to Elvis as well for their running of the Orangery on the day. Elvis was an absolute ray of sunshine and really polite when talking to him during the wedding breakfast. He was professional in how he guided the other staff and his colleagues on what to do next, who to serve, how to pour Prosecco etc. 

 

Honestly, the entire team at Tortworth have outdone themselves and I think that is also partly why we have such wedding blues, we both just want to do it all over again! Thank you so much for everything.

The main reason for writing to you is to congratulate you on what an incredible team you have at Tortworth. My daughter’s wedding was brilliantly managed from the enquiry stage right through to the delivery last Saturday. Your team looked after us from the moment we checked in last Friday to our departure on Monday. Your team, do you great credit!

 

This is a clear team effort, but I would like to mention a few people who made the journey seamless and perfectly executed on the day. 

 

We were all highly impressed with Polly, both her ability to convert our enquiry into a firm booking and her attention to detail throughout.   

 

Where did you find Elvis? I wish I had him when I was running The Grand. He is a star! His attention to detail along with his interactions with both the bridal party and our guests was incredible. He not only delivered a hugely successful event, but he also made whole experience a real joy for everyone. 

 

I would also like to commend your Toastmaster, Dave. A true professional who guided us through the day. He made the whole event a day to remember.

Our day was what we dreamt of and more!

 

We want to say a massive thank you to Even and the team and especially to Laz as on the day he was fantastic and so was Dave! 

 

Everyone on the day and leading up to the day were great and we couldn’t of asked for more!   You took on board we didn’t want the traditional wedding and wanted to do things our way which meant a lot. 

 

We will be back to visit everyone and we will ensure we visit at least once a year as The De Vere and the team will always have a place in our hearts.

Alex, We can’t thank you enough for all that you’ve done for us from the very start until the very end. You have been incredible and I’m so thankful for all of the support, advice and communication you’ve given us throughout the planning process. You made us feel at ease which in turn really let us enjoy the planning process and the build up to the day as we knew that you knew our vision inside and out.

 

The day went PERFECTLY, absolutely seamlessly and that was down to the whole team who were all absolutely incredible. 

 

We want to give a special mention to two individuals in particular, Dave our wonderful toastmaster and Elvis who made our wedding day so incredibly special and memorable. 

 

Dave was absolutely amazing and made us feel so at ease and calm all day. Dave was always available, ensuring everyone had everything they could possibly need - even going the extra mile to speak to my grandparents, telling them that if they needed a break from the sun or noise that he would chaperone them in to somewhere quieter and cooler. Dave made Aled and I feel so content and comfortable all day and ensured we always knew what was happening, what others were doing and what we needed to do. This really let us let our hair down and enjoy the day. Dave is simply the BEST and our day would not have been the same without him.

 

Elvis - where do I begin. An absolute perfectionist and meticulous who could not do enough for us. As soon as we met Elvis (via zoom) we knew we were in the best hands. This was only reassured when we met him in person the day before our wedding day. No words could ever describe how amazingly incredible Elvis is and how grateful we are that he controlled our day.

  

Everyone at our wedding commented on Dave and Elvis which shows just how much of an impact they had, not only on our day, but on our guests. Because of you, Elvis and Dave we had the perfect day, more than we could have ever imagined, and I am so grateful to you all.

Thank you so much for making our day so special! It was perfect and we wouldn’t change a second of it! All of the staff involved were supberd, including the main hotel stadd, bar staff, serving staff and kitchen staff. Everything during the day was perfect too! Danka & the team were fabulous! The food was a hit with everyone too - something a lot of weddings fall short on! I honestly could not fault the day!! It was everything I dreamed of & more!

I had guests feedback ‘the most organised, special day’ The Food, Staff, Mansion House and Orangery were outstanding, and we can second that. Tortworth will forever hold a special place not just in our hearts but our friends and family also!

 

A special Thank You to Eve, Laz and MOC Dave. You helped in ways you will never know. Dave supported my dad get though the most emotional, proud day. Eve you kept my mind clear and focused with no questions. Laz you really did provide the guests with the decor I asked, for the timeline we requested, all with a smile.

 

Dietary requirements were met with no fuss. Nothing was ever too much trouble for the wedding team!

 

I would happily go through the 2 years of planning all over again to re live our wedding day at Tortworth, thank you so so much.

Honestly, people could not stop raving about how well the whole day was organised and run by the staff at Tortworth, in particular Elvis and Dave. There were some guests who also work in the wedding industry and they also commented how impressive and attentive Elvis was. But also a huge thanks to you Alex, you have been wonderful this entire time answering any question we had. 

 

Overall the experience has been phenomenal, we are both so happy that we got to have our wedding at Tortworth.

My Wife and I got married at De Vere Tortworth Court during February 2024. Our decision to go with the venue was made when we saw the Orangery for the first time. The architecture is stunning and it feels like setting that is equally as beautiful during the day as it is lit up at night. 

 

We were also thrilled with the service that we received from Alex and Elvis throughout the planning and on the wedding weekend. We couldn’t have asked anything more from both of them and were very grateful for the energy, friendliness and attention to detail that they both bought. Their input made a big difference to our overall experience knowing that we had confidence in experienced and professional pair of hands to help with ay queries or arrangements. 

 

We would highly recommend the Orangery as a wedding venue and Alex, Elvis, and the rest of the team at De Vere Tortworth Court.
