A Tinder match and a natural spark

Chloe and Alfie’s paths never crossed in real life, despite sharing a network of mutual friends. But when they matched on Tinder, they instantly clicked. “We both love to have a good time surrounded by family and friends,” they say, “and once we started mixing our lives together, it just felt effortless.” That natural blend became the foundation of their relationship—and later, their marriage.

A proposal worth waiting for

Alfie’s proposal didn’t go quite to plan… in fact, it didn’t go to plan three separate times. From a cancelled trip to Spain to a family health scare and a last-minute lockdown, life had its own ideas. Eventually, he chose the perfect, low-key moment—Chloe’s 27th birthday, in their living room. “It couldn’t have been more perfect,” she recalls.

Finding the venue

When it came to choosing a venue, the couple had a weekend celebration in mind. From the moment they drove up to De Vere Latimer Estate, they knew it was the one. “It felt like a private island. The rooms were classic and timeless, and the grounds are just beautiful. We fell in love instantly.”

Details that told a story

From soft powder blue flowers to custom acrylic signage, every element of the day reflected their shared style. Instead of traditional favours, they made donations to Macmillan Cancer Support and Tommy’s, a gesture that meant a lot to them and their guests. Personalised coasters doubled as place names—many of which now live on in friends’ homes as treasured keepsakes.

A memory table honoured loved ones who couldn’t be there in person, with framed photos and the touching quote: “Generations of love – all that we are, and all that we hope to be we owe to our loving families.” It was a beautiful nod to the legacy of love that surrounded them.

The look

Chloe wore a breathtaking Dando London gown with elegant long sleeves—an unexpected choice that turned out to be “the one” the moment she tried it on. Alfie opted for a timeless navy suit, coordinating with both fathers, while the groomsmen complemented the bridesmaids’ soft blue chiffon dresses with matching ties.

“I wanted the bridesmaids to feel like themselves,” Chloe says, so each chose a dress in the same colour and fabric but in a style that suited them best. The result? A perfectly mismatched bridal party that looked just right.

Party mode: on

For Chloe and Alfie, dinner was more than a meal—it was the main event. They booked singer Lascel Wood, who brought the house down with soul and Motown classics. “The whole wedding party was on their feet,” they say. “Even the top table was dancing on chairs!” The energy carried through the evening, creating memories their guests still talk about.

Magical moments

When asked about standout moments, their answers are instant: the wedding breakfast, filled with laughter and dancing, and that first look down the aisle. “That moment captured everything we felt—pure love and happiness.”

A hilarious cigar photo session (with a surprise Kray twins impression) and a few teary speeches added to the magic. And behind the scenes, their coordinators Jess and Abby ensured the day ran flawlessly. “Jess was incredible,” they say. “Her support made such a difference—we can’t thank her enough.”

The honeymoon of dreams

After the big day, the newlyweds jetted off on a 16-day adventure across Southern Italy. From Naples and Pompeii to the Amalfi Coast and Capri, it was everything they hoped for and more—a perfect start to married life.

Their top tip?

“Enjoy every single moment. It goes so fast—embrace the chaos, the fun, the planning. And most importantly, remember why you’re getting married in the first place.”

Congratulations, Chloe and Alfie, and thank you for sharing your beautiful day with us at De Vere Latimer Estate. We loved every second of it too.
