Step three of the Government’s roadmap out of lockdown in England will begin on Monday 17th May when hotels will be able to welcome people back inside, and business events can resume. Here is what you can expect from De Vere’s properties from Monday.

What can I expect?

From Monday 17th May, business events such as conferences, meetings, banquets or gala dinners, and awards ceremonies can take place, and must continue to follow COVID-secure and distancing guidance. Indoor events can take place with no more than 1,000 people at one time or at 50% of venue capacity, whichever is lower, not including staff, contractors, or exhibitors. Outdoor events can take place with no more than 4,000 people at one time, or at 50% capacity, whichever is lower.

Stay safe with us

At De Vere we always put the safety of our guests and colleagues first – so event planners and their delegates can feel safe when visiting us. Our specially designed Your Wellbeing at Heart programme ensures a healthy and safe visit environment for our guests and team members. With the support of ChemEco, De Vere has carefully crafted a range of new measures, from enhancing the already meticulous deep cleaning of meeting and event spaces, bars, restaurants, and bedrooms, to thoughtful social distancing measures inside and outside the hotels. This includes regularly sanitising public areas using jet action ‘misting’ technology which uses hard acting yet environmentally friendly solutions from ChemEco.

Event organisers can rest assured their event can take place safely and in line with Government guidelines at our properties. Our hotels offer large meeting rooms allowing delegates to have plenty of space to observe social distancing guidelines and many of our meeting rooms offer ‘individual workspace’ furniture where every participant has an individual desk reducing contact or shared surfaces. Due to the large size of our properties, we’re also able to implement ‘zoning’ to reduce cross contact between groups. If event organisers would prefer to host an outdoor event, our properties are set within 20 acres or more of natural parkland offering plenty of outdoor space for guests to distance.

While the Government roadmap does not require delegates to show a mandatory negative Covid-19 test, we can provide infra-red thermometers so event organisers can check attendees’ temperatures prior to the event.

Guests should continue to wear face coverings or masks while moving around inside venues, but they can be removed once seated. Event organisers should discourage attendees from raising their voice, and where possible and to help with this, use microphones when speaking to larger groups.

When organising their event, planners can visit our properties prior to their event for a show round or opt for a 360˚ virtual tour of De Vere’s spaces from the comfort of their home or office.

Your health and wellbeing

We understand the importance of wellbeing, so from 25th June our hotels will be offering complimentary daily wellbeing sessions including yoga and Pilates classes for guests. On warmer days, delegates can opt to take their activities outside to reap the benefits of the impressive outdoor space our properties have to offer.

Our properties also offer delicious and nutrient rich menus packed with great sources of protein, fibre, vitamins, and minerals which helps support the immune system and a healthy gut. These menus also cater to a variety of dietary requirements.

Set within 20 acres or more of natural parkland, our properties offer plenty of outdoor space to explore with jogging trails and walking routes on site for guests to explore pre or post event to help clear the mind. Our outdoor space also provides endless opportunities for outdoor breakout sessions; team building activities; dining al fresco; and working in the sunshine – thanks to the super-fast Wi-Fi that stretches up to a 100m perimeter around each property.

We have everything you’ll need

We are committed to ensuring that De Vere is ahead of the game by continuing to invest in new technology to ensure clients remain connected and have greater flexibility. We have launched a series of Smart Connections meetings packages from video calling to multi-room virtual meetings, to provide a slick and seamless service no matter what our guests need.

De Vere’s Smart Connections meetings packages are powered by video-first unified communications platform, Zoom Video Communications, Inc. The packages allow event bookers to efficiently arrange engaging and accessible events that can take place safely, enabling delegates to meet in person and interact virtually for those who can’t physically attend.

Those visiting our properties will also be able to take advantage of De Vere’s market leading Smart Space meetings concept, which comprises nine service features designed to offer a highly responsive, personalised meetings and events service. The service includes everything from a live availability booking service to truly tech-savvy support, with up to 1GB super-fast Wi-Fi, interactive displays, and an on-site team of friendly experts to help overcome any tech issues a client may face with strict distancing measures in place to ensure a safe and productive environment for everyone.

Whilst De Vere properties are surrounded by acres of green space, parkland and beautiful countryside, they’re also impeccably connected. Whether your delegates are travelling by road, rail or air, our properties provide easy access to major motorways, railway stations and airports. They also benefit from plenty of on-site parking, and we even have electric charging points at some of our properties.
